Sales of 'superfood' soaring
Sales of so-called 'superfoods' like blueberries, broccoli, spinach and tomatoes have increased massively, as consumers buy into the health eating message.
Analysts AC Neilson said blueberry sales had gone up by 132% in two years, while spinach sales had increased by 26% and sales of salmon by 31%.
Oat-based cereals also saw a rise in sales, as consumers turn to oats as a superfood which can help reduce cholesterol, Food & Drink Europe reported.
