The North-East Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 2007 are now in their eighth year.

There are nine categories in the competition, including the Susan Dobson Award for Entrepreneurship, Best Newcomer and Young Woman Entrepreneur.

The awards are aimed at women who have started their own businesses or have taken over an independent enterprise. They must have been trading for a minimum of two years on 1 August.

The closing date for entries is 21 September.
