Sentric Music's web-based facility means musicians can cut out agents and avoid paying costly fees to have the royalties collected on their behalf. It also allows them to distribute their music online.

Artists register online, then Sentric collects the royalties for them and distributes their music via its online reord label to outlets like iTunes and e-music.

The resource is the Merseyside Innovation Awards winner for May and will go forward to the grand final in July, the Liverpool Daily Post reported.
