Ratner advises Welsh firms
Gerald Ratner, the man who famously described some of his family firm's jewellery as "total crap", is to host a seminar telling firms how to succeed in business.
Two years after his disastrous comments, the family firm was rebranded Signet. Mr Ratner now owns a number of smaller firms, including an online jewellery shop and a health club.
He will be giving the benefit of his experience to an audience at the Ideal Business Show Wales at 1pm on Thursday.
The seminar, which is free to attend, is one of a number high profile events at the show, which runs on Wednesday and Thursday at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, icWales reported.
