The awards, which are now in their third year, recognise and reward firms that have provided practical training opportunities for young people. This can range from work experience placements to apprenticeships and provision of nationally recognised qualifications.

The awards are split into 12 regions, and the regional winners of the Small Business Award, the Business Award and Practical Learner Award will go forward to the national final in November.

The closing date for applications, which can be made online, is 29 June.
