Enworks helps firms reduce their carbon dioxide emissions as well as the amount of water and raw materials they use. Around 1,000 businesses are curently taking part in the organisation's environmental programmes.

Enworks scooped the Ashden Award for energy efficiency, which was presented by green campaigner and former US vice president Al Gore.

The organisation was judged to have made a real difference in among smaller firms, which are traditionally considered hard to reach by environmental campaigners.
