Silent crisp packet developed
A crisp company is working to develop the 'silent' crisp bag, due to its success on TV.
Seabrook Crisps feature behind the TV bars of the Rover's Return in Coronation Street, The Woolpack in Emmerdale and The Dog in Hollyoaks.
But the noise of rustling packets has annoyed programme makers - resulting in the development of less noisy packets using the lightweight material which is used to make US Army uniforms waterproof.
Although still in the early stages of development, the rustle-free bags could eventually be sold in places like theatres and cinemas, the Yorkshire Evening Post reported.
