West Mids firms remain optimistic
Small businesses in the West Midlands are increasingly optimistic about the future in comparison with other parts of Britain, according to a new report.
The Small Business Research Trust's (SBRT) report into the first quarter of the year found West Midlands firms were growing in confidence despite a tougher operating climate and a slowdown in growth.
Sales turnover in the region was expected to grow more than any other area of England, Scotland or Wales.
In addition, small businesses said they expected significantly higher growth in the second quarter of 2007, icBirmingham reported.
