Prince hosts green business summit
The Prince of Wales is hosting a May Day meeting today (Tuesday 1 May) of businesses keen to create a low-carbon economy in the UK.
The summit, and nine associated events taking place around the country, marks the start of a campaign to make businesses more environmentally friendly. All of the events are connected by video-conferencing technology.
Businesses at the events are making a pledge to reduce their emissions into the environment. As many delegates as possible have been encouraged to travel to the event by public transport.
They will receive follow-up support on becoming greener from Business in the Community (BiTC) and the Carbon Trust.
