Post Office pulls in one million
A million people are now using their local Post Offices to access financial services, according to new figures.
The Post Office has picked up the customers since starting to offer credit cards, savings accounts and insurance in conjunction with the Bank of Ireland three years ago.
It says the figures show it to be the fastest growing financial services provider in the UK, the BBC reported.
However, the Government is planning to close 2,500 more Post Offices within the next two years.
