Popularity of Polish beer increases

The trend for Polish food and drink shows no signs of abating as a brewer responsible for two Polish beer brands reports rising profits.

SABMiller's annual profits rose by 14% on the back on demand for its Tyskie and Lech bottled beers in the UK. It sold the equivalent of 17.6 million pints of the Polish beers.

In addition to the obvious market of Eastern European migrant workers, the taste for exotic beer is increasing in the UK, the BBC reported.
