Flexible pet ownership business
A US firm has spotted a gap in the market for people who want a pet but can't give the full time commitment required.
Flexpetz allows dog lovers to chose a dog to borrow for a few hours or even a few days.
The enterprise started in Los Angeles and San Diego, and plans to expand across the US as well as to London, Paris and Tokyo.
Customers, who go through a training programme before being issued with a dog, pay $40 a month membership, along with a daily fee, Entrepreneur.com reported.
