End of the line for cassettes
The days of the audio cassette may be numbered, after a high street electrical retailer decided to stop selling them.
Currys says it will also stop selling tape decks, which are now available in less than 5% of audio equipment. MP3 players can store as many albums as 1,500 cassettes.
Currys sold 100,000 tapes last year, compared to 83 million in 1989, the BBC reported.
