Competition for social entrepreneurs

A national newspaper has launched a competition to find Britain's most successful social entrepreneurs.

The Independent has joined forces with the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship and the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) to find entrepreneurs and enterprises that focus on making a difference, rather than a profit.

The paper defined a true social entrepreneur as "Sir Richard Branson crossed with Mother Teresa".
