Business competition backed by entrepreneurs

A business competition in Yorkshire has received a boost from two of the region's top entrepreneurs.

Yorkshire Forward's Yorkshire's Big Idea competition has attracted interest from both the founder of Internet Service Provider (ISP) Freeserve, and the founder of educational travel firm i-to-i.

Both will be judges in the competition, which will award the winner with £30,000 of investment towards the early-stage development of a new or innovative business idea. The winning concept must be able to prove its market and commercial potential, and also be able to demonstrate protectable intellectual property.
