Wool promoted as green alternative
A Welsh sheep farmer is urging others in the sector to support the promotion of wool in the UK as a green alternative to synthetic fibres.
The sheep farmer, who is from Mid Wales, thinks other farmers disappointed with the depressed wool market should look to the future of wool in the green global market.
He told icWales that he believes synthetic fibres, and the environmental issues caused by the production methods associated with them, will ultimately give way to natural fibres such as wool, which he claims "tick every box" in an environmentally aware society.
