The seafood is becoming increasingly popular as Brits overcome their fear of cooking unusual foods.

The Fish Society, an online fishmonger, says sales of squid have been increasing by 15% annually in the five years the business has been trading.

It says squid now outsells cod and it is expecting to sell four tonnes of the seafood this year alone.
