Her idea is a gun holster-type tool belt that enables hairdressers to carry their gadgets with them as they work, based on her ex-husband's design. The belt has been used on the TV show Celebrity Scissorhands and the designer now has her own business, Rude Utilities Ltd.

The business has been inundated with interest from salons across the UK after the belt was featured at the Salon International trade show, the Yorkshire Evening Post reported.
