Post Offices to relocate in newsagents
High street newsagent WH Smith has reached an agreement to base Post Offices in 70 of its stores, saving them from potential closure.
It says the move follows a successful trial in six WH Smith shops. The majority of the Post Offices will be based very close to their original locations.
Alan Cook, Post Office Ltd managing director, said:
"Crucially for Post Office Ltd, the partnership will help us to put the Crown office network on a sound financial footing, after many years of heavy losses."
