Bakery plans late-night opening
Newcastle-based family bakery Greggs has unveiled plans to open its high street stores until the early hours.
The bakery hopes to launch a trial run in Sunderland in a bid to rival other fast food businesses and cater for late-night revellers looking for snacks on their way home from the pub.
A spokesperson for Greggs told The Northern Echo that the goods on offer at the late-night stores may have to change to cater for a different customer base.
