Women discover business potential at event
Women are finding out about the nitty-gritty of being an entrepreneur at an event organised by a group of girls aged between 15 and 17 years old today (Friday 20 April).
The Discover Your Potential event in Newcastle upon Tyne is part of a project backed by the Tyneside Economic Development Company's (Tedco) Building up Business and One NorthEast's Future Entrepreneurs schemes.
A similar event - Girls Mean Business - has already been held in Middlesbrough.
The umbrella programme for the whole initiative is the Women's Enterprise Strategy, which is charged with interesting girls aged 14 to 19 in marketing or starting their own businesses.
