Research shows employee rights have gone too far
Research has revealed that many small business owners feel legislation to extend employee rights has gone too far.
According to research by The Tenon Forum think-tank, 70% of UK entrepreneurs feel employees now have too much power owing to recent legislation covering issues such as age discrimination, maternity rights and discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation.
A spokesperson for The Tenon Forum said:
"Entrepreneurs are broadly in favour of measures which protect employees, but our findings show they feel under pressure from increasing workplace legislation."
