British tradespeople fight back
British plumbers are winning back trade from migrant workers who have been undercutting them, it's been claimed.
Polish workers continually undercut quotes from UK tradespeople when they first came to Britain, but they are now charging similar prices, This Is Money reported.
It said that although Polish tradespeople's prices were now on a par with indiginous workers', workers from Romania and Bulgaria - which joined the European Union (EU) in January - would soon be arriving in the UK with cheaper bills.
