New ball game aims to inspire kids
A former farmer has come up with an educational game which could fill a gap in the market for an entertaining way to get children engaged in physical activity.
Catchback is basically a curved board, which a ball is thrown against - and the ball then bounces back at different angles.
The game can help children improve their ball-handling skills and hand-eye co-ordination, as well as being an enjoyable way to exercise, the Eastern Daily Press reported.
Catchback's owner says on his website:
"Catchback builds confidence, is inexpensive, is an all-year round sport, and can be played in a small area."It is the ultimate alternative to the computer game or the TV…goodbye couch potato."
