'Green homes' trend gathers strength
Builders should look closely at the concept of 'green' homes, as it's a trend that appears to be here to stay.
In addtion to the Budget tax breaks announced for new-build carbon-neutral properties, a survey suggests people want to see green features in new homes.
Seven out of ten people quizzed by insurer MORE TH>N said they wanted all new builds to be eco-friendly.
A MORE TH>N spokesman said:
"Making new-build homes eco-friendly is a step towards making all homeowners more environmentally aware. It's important that the support for 'green' initiatives continues and that house builders listen to consumer demand."
