Pupils develop business game

Enterprising pupils have helped develop a board game to teach other children how to run a successful business.

The original idea for the Enterprise Game came from a lecturer in Halton, Cheshire, more than 20 years ago. But because enterprise was not on the National Curriculum at that time, it did not make much headway.

The idea was resurrected by the Halton Education Business Partnership, which asked school pupils to turn it into a modern learning game. Grants of £100,000 have funded the development and the game is now being manufactured in China.

Now secondary and special needs schools in Halton have taken shares in the game, which is being sold to schools across the UK, icLiverpool reported.
