Patent Office announces name change
The Patent Office will soon be no more - in a month's time, it will be known as the UK Intellectual Property Office (UK-IPO).
The changes were recommended in the Gowers Review last year and have been accepted by the Government.
The Patent Office says its original name does not inform businesses about the range of intellectual property issues it covers, including copyright, trade marks and designs.
