Organic mattress business helped to expand
A business that pioneered the production of organic mattresses has benefited from support to expand its site and machinery.
ABACA, which is located on a farm, has transformed its current site and machinery with the help of Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) Wales, to cope with increased demand.
Its customers include John Lewis, Selfridges and individuals as far away as the US. The business is aiming to boost its production from 100 beds a month to 1,200.
Everything used in the manufacture of the mattresses has its organic status verified by the Soil Association. Most of the components are sourced in the UK, icWales reported.
