Business owner turns milk into beer
A Japanese business owner is using surplus milk to brew beer.
The island of Hokkaido - Japan's biggest dairy farming region - threw away almost 900 tonnes of milk last March due to over-production and a decline in milk consumption.
Now liquor store Nakahara has come up with 'bilk', which is made from 30% milk, after six months of development with a local brewer. It has proved so successful that it is currently out of stock, Reuters reported.
