Prowess, which was set up to support female business ownership, gave its outstanding contribution to women's enterprise development to Izzy Warren-Smith. She founded the national group, Women in Rural Enterprise (WiRE).

The group, which has been offering women business support in the form of networking events and marketing advice for more than ten years, says rural is "a state of mind not a postcode".
