Payments taking longer to arrive
Micro businesses are being stretched even further by late payers than they were three years ago.
Small enterprises are waiting an average of 80 days to be paid, compared with 69 days in 2004, according to a study by Siemens Financial Services (SFS).
The report said that small firms were suffering because larger customers were using competitive pressure to extend the payment time, Freelance UK reported.
Large companies were waiting an average of 47 days before they were paid.
