New paid-for Google software for business
Google is encroaching on Microsoft's territory with the launch of its first paid-for software programs for businesses.
The Google Apps Premier Edition suite of web-based products include e-mail, word-processing and spreadsheet functions, pitching it against Microsoft's Office applications.
The Google applications will cost £26 a year for users to access. The systems have been trialled by Google's own staff for a number of months, The Times reported.
