Marketer sets up artists' website
A former marketing manager and his wife have set up an online business promoting and selling artists' work.
Keith and Lesley-Anne Newman have 10 artists on the books of the Artists Network, and aim to have 60 by the end of the year.
Keith told icNewcastle:
"I have what I call the three tenners system. For £10 a month, an artist can exhibit 10 pieces of art on my online gallery and if they sell one I take 10% of the purchase price."It is still very early days yet but we are getting upward of 500 hits on the website a day and have sold 16 pictures, one piece went for £500."
