Coining a good marketing idea
A taxi firm owner has come up with a novel idea to market his business.
Mark Streeter, of Courtesy Taxis in Norwich, is sticking his business name and number on the back of thousands of pound coins. The coin advert is promoting his call-back service.
The idea is totally legal because the stickers don't deface the coins, although the Royal Mint isn't very pleased about it.
However, Mr Streeter told the Eastern Daily Press:
"We only put the stickers on the tail side of the coins so they do not cover the Queen and it is all just a bit of a giggle really."The response we have had has been really good."
