Taxi ads fail to Cabtivate

A business that failed to make the grade on TV show Dragons' Den but managed to raise funding without it has gone bust.

Taxi advertising company Cabtivate paid to put TV screens into taxis, then raised money from advertisers.

Liquidators have been appointed, eight staff have lost their jobs and the firm has left debts of "at least several hundred thousand pounds", The Scotsman reported.

It comes after the business, set up in 2003, described itself as "very successful" last year and said it was planning to sell the concept abroad.
