Shopkeepers hoping to take advantage of the annual New Year healthy eating trend should get in the grapefruit - and fast!
If ASDA is anything to go by, grapefruits are flying off the shelves as people try to kickstart 2007 with a healthy eating regime.
The supermarket has sold 60,000 grapefruits in three hours - or 330 a minute. That compares with 28,400 for the whole of December.
But the trend isn't likely to last - a third of New Year's resolutions are likely to be broken within a week, ITN reported.
