BT beats VoIP target
Around a million BT customers are now using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) to make phone calls.
BT says it achieved the target six months earlier than it had expected, via its BT Broadband Talk and BT Softphone services.
Spokesman Gavin Patterson said:
"We now have more than a million customer accounts for our VoIP services - and to achieve this in six months is nothing short of spectacular."
Deals available include free evening and weekend VoIP calls.
