Xmas-Factor auditions for staff
A Leeds hotel has taken a leaf out of a TV talent show's book - and held its own version of the X-Factor to recruit Christmas staff.
The De Vere Oulton Hall held auditions for Santa's helpers, who had to be good with children, elves, fairies and reindeer.
Potential recruits each had two minutes to sell themselves to the panel of Father and Mother Christmas.
General manager Wayne Topley told Leeds Today:
"For the positions we were looking to fill we wanted to do something more creative than the usual hunt for volunteers - hence the Xmas-Factor auditions."
