Web 2.0 software for small businesses
Hardware giant Intel, best known for manufacturing chips and processors, has announced it will offer a Web 2.0 application software package to small businesses.
The package, entitled SuiteTwo, includes software that will enable users to create blogs and RSS feeds, and use wikis and social networking tools. Already popular with consumers, these types of tools are experiencing more uptake among business users.
Arvind Sodhani, president of Intel Capital, said:
"This was a unique opportunity to actively create an effective software suite that delivers heightened capabilities to the enterprise ecosystem."
The company also said that the components of SuiteTwo will be optimised for Intel's client and server chips.
