Nicola Balfour, a freelance artist who lives and works on a farm in County Durham, is starting to produce banners commercially for special events.

She had already painted a number of banners as a freelance artist working with schools, local authorities and festivals.

Now she's teamed up with Helen Limon, a friend she has known since school, to get that entrepreneurial edge.

Nicola told icNewcastle:

"Helen has the commercial acumen that I lack and, obviously, I have the artistic know-how, so it has given me the confidence to take the plunge."
