Pub's package tours
An enterprising publican is attracting American tourists by offering his own pub package deals.
John Freeman, who owns the Black Horse Inn at Thurnham near Maidstone in Kent, has put the Ancestral Adventure package together with tour operator Walk Awhile.
The area has strong links to the state of Virginia and it's hoped Virginians will be interested in tracing their roots.
Mr Freeman told The Publican:
"With transatlantic flights direct between Kent International Airport and Norfolk Virginia starting in spring 2007, we're hoping that this innovative partnership will boost tourism in the area."
