Sales advice from start up

A new business is helping other small enterprises get ahead of the competition and boost their staff training.

The Saleskey.com is a consultancy set up to help small businesses train their staff without sending them off on costly and time-consuming courses. The training happens face-to-face or over the Internet.

The venture has itself received help from Entrepreneur Action, through the Welsh Assembly Government.

Founder Colin Campbell is hoping to take advantage of Sector Skills Development Agency (SSDA) findings that more than a third of small businesses don't take part in any staff training.

He told icWales:

"Many owners and managers cannot release key staff for days on end and the cost can be prohibitive. There is also the problem with training courses that one size does not fit all."
