Healthy food boosts profits

Fresh food is the way to go if you want to make a profit.

At least that's what supermarket giant Sainsbury's reckons - and there's no reason why the same logic shouldn't apply to small shops.

It seems all this pressure to eat healthily is getting to British consumers, and they're starting to spend more on foods that are good for them, the BBC reported.

Sainsbury's, which is putting more emphasis on organic food and is trying to be seen as environmentally friendly, announced that its half-yearly pre-tax profits grew by a whopping 60% to £189 million.
