Business owners are in it for keeps
People who start a small business are in it for the long haul, according to new research.
Rather than exploiting an idea to make a fast buck, most people who set up their own enterprises want to retain their business.
The study, by insurer NIG, found that 60% of small business owners didn't want to sell or leave their venture, and a third couldn't see themselves leaving within the next three years.
Spokesman Steve Kingshott told Freelance UK:
"These results fly in the face of the popular perception of the get-rich-quick small business entrepreneur with a five-year business plan and a rapid exit."
