Edinburgh is top farmers' market
Edinburgh's farmers' market has been named the best in the UK.
It beat five others to the accolade, awarded by Country Life magazine.
TV presenter, author and Fat Lady Clarissa Dickson-Wright told The Scotsman:
"All produce is sourced from within a 50-mile radius - quite some feat for a capital city - and includes traditional farmers' fare, as well as specialised products and services such as the infamous porridge bar."
The market is held weekly at Castle Terrace.
