Broadband is big business

The broadband Internet revolution has turned the UK into a nation of web surfers, to the detriment of TV, national newspapers and radio.

The threat to traditional forms of media - and the benefits to online businesses - has been highlighted in telecoms watchdog Ofcom's first major international survey on communications trends.

The report also looks at digital TV and mobile phone usage.
