It seems a Chinese university has taken the connection between the links and the boardroom so seriously that it's now putting on golf classes for students.

But rather than being an optional extra, business and law students at Xiamen University will have to take golf lessons as a required class, icWales reported.

Sports professor Chen Xiao, from the university, said:

"The aim is to help the students find good jobs. Many Chinese business deals are clinched on golf courses."
