Bridal business grows
An entrepreneur who remortgaged her home to start her bridal business is getting bigger - in more ways than one.
Donna Caldwell, a former fashion student who runs L'Amour Bridal in South Shields, Tyne and Wear, is creating L'Amour Curves for brides with fuller figures.
She told icNewcastle:
"I had customers coming to me saying they had been shoehorned into a size 14, held together at the back with elastic bands or bull dog clips, when they were a size 26 and how demoralising it was for them."
Donna plans to launch the new range with a fashion show, which will feature a model wearing a size 32 wedding gown.
