Mumpreneurs making a mint

The mumpreneur phenomenon is continuing, with more than a third of new or expectant mums planning to start a business from home.

Mums who have already set up their ventures are bringing in an average of £467.91 a month or £5,614 annually. They work the equivalent of two and a half days per week, according to research by Axa Protection.

The most popular reason for mums setting up their own enterprises was the extra income, followed by the desire to combine motherhood and a career.
