West Midlands-based The Wheelchair Corporation produces a motorised wheelchair with fat tyres that is capable of going in the sea and dealing with sand, and other rough terrain.

It also makes wheelchairs that can be adapted to carry people who weigh up to 50 stone, icBirmingham reported.

The firm received help from the Government's UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), which has helped with plans to export to Dubai and elsewhere in the Middle East.
